Jude Bellingham has raved about his team-mate Kylian Mbappe after the Frenchman scored a decisive Champions League hat-trick against Manchester City.

Mbappe was on fire as Madrid fired three past City to knock Pep Guardiola's side out of the Champions League. Team-mate Bellingham heaped praise on the No. 9 post-match, telling TNT Sports that "he is flying and it's so good to see."

A consolation goal from Nico Gonzalez did nothing to stop Madrid's charge to the next round, which was led by star forward Mbappe. The former PSG man bagged two in the first half before capping off his hat-trick on the hour mark. He may have endured a slow start to his Madrid career but there's no doubt he's in fine form now.

Bellingham said: "It is brilliant playing with him. You go into games knowing you can give him the ball and he is going to affect things. Our jobs behind him and the rest of the front three is to try and get them into the best positions possible and I myself try and get in the box too. "You know when Kylian gets the ball in the areas he likes on the pitch he is going to be dangerous. Left foot or right foot. He scored a few different types of goals today. It is incredible what he has done in his career. I know he had a slow start here and took time getting used to life here. Now he is flying and it's so good to see."
