Guardiola has not found life in the Premier League too difficult ever since he joined Man City in 2016, he has become the league champion in six of the last eight seasons only being ousted by Chelsea, in his first season in England, and Liverpool in 2020. During Man City's open-top bus parade, Guardiola was asked to stay 'forever' and his response couldn't have been any more awkward.

Speaking on the open-top bus, Guardiola was asked [via @SkySportsNews on X]: "At the start of next season, you will be the Premier League's longest-serving manager. Would you just stay forever, please? Can we just get you to stay forever?"
Guardiola was caught off guard by the question and responded awkwardly: "Forever?! [laughs]"

After the FA Cup final loss to Manchester United, it was reported that Guardiola was seriously thinking about calling time on his stint at Man City and that the club were also expecting the Spaniard to not renew his contract, which expires at the end of next season. After the loss, Guardiola had also said that he was 'closer to leaving than staying' at the club which will have definitely raised a few alarm bells in the Man City hierarchy, who will look to start to plan for life post-Guardiola.
