PSG dismissed third-placed Monaco on Friday night to go 13 points clear at the top of Ligue 1, with in-form winger Dembele bagging another brace for the French giants. The Frenchman is in sensational form currently and now has eight goals in his last three games for PSG, to take his 2025 goalscoring tally for PSG to 13. Monaco boss Adi Hutter said after the game that this is the best version of the Paris outfit he had ever seen.

Hutter said, via Le Parisien: "This is the best version of PSG I have seen, they have been impressive and much better. I have been here in Monaco for a year and a half, and maybe it took time to build the tactics and style of play of this team. I like the way Luis Enrique sees football. Like Inter Milan that we faced, they are a serious candidate for the final victory in the Champions League, they are perhaps the best team in Europe at the moment. Their qualities, especially in attack, are a danger for any team."
AFPTHE BIGGER PICTURE
Despite Hutter's comments, Luis Enrique's PSG have not translated their league dominance onto the European stage as they finished 15th in the Champions League group phase this season. They will have to go through the play-offs to reach the last 16 of the competition and until they win the Champions League, that best in Europe tag will evade them.
WHAT NEXT?
PSG return to Champions League action on Tuesday when they are away to fellow French side Brest.
